Many Shield Arms products are regulated under U.S. export law. Here's what that means before you buy, sell, or ship one across a border.
What's Regulated
Shield Arms products are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and, in some cases, Department of Commerce or Department of State export licensing. The following may be subject to export controls:
- Firearms and firearm components
- Magazines and magazine components
- Gun parts and accessories
- Technical data and specifications
- Manufacturing equipment and tooling
What You Agree To By Purchasing
By purchasing Shield Arms products, you agree to comply with all U.S. export control laws and regulations, including:
EAR
Export Administration Regulations
Implemented by the Department of Commerce.
ITAR
International Traffic in Arms Regulations
Implemented by the Department of State.
OFAC
Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations
Implemented by the Treasury Department.
What You May Not Do
Without proper export licenses, you may not:
- Export any Shield Arms products outside the United States
- Sell or transfer products to persons intending to export them
- Rent or deliver products for international shipment
- Dispose of products to known exporters without authorization
- Share technical data with foreign nationals
International Sales & Distribution
Authorized International Distributors
Shield Arms sells internationally through licensed export partners in a number of countries. These distributors are properly licensed and authorized to sell Shield Arms products in their region. Find your regional distributor →

Export License Requirements
When a License Is Required
- Direct shipment of products outside the US
- Transfer of technical data to foreign persons
- Temporary export for demonstrations or repairs
- Re-export of Shield Arms products from third countries
Application Process
Export license applications must be submitted by qualified entities to the appropriate U.S. government agency. Shield Arms cannot assist with individual export license applications.
Restricted Countries & Entities
Shield Arms products cannot be exported to countries under U.S. embargo or trade restrictions, and every order is screened against government-maintained restricted party lists.
Embargoed Countries
Restrictions are drawn from lists maintained by:
- Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
- Department of State Country Policies
- Department of Commerce Entity Lists
Restricted Parties
We screen all customers against:
- Denied Persons List
- Entity List
- Specially Designated Nationals List
- Debarred Parties List
