The DS18 will not fit Glock 17-length grip frames. The DS20 runs in a Glock 19, but the base extends below the grip.

The DS-Series is a steel magazine, and the factory Glock mag catch is polymer. We believe the best path to long-term reliability is steel on steel or polymer on polymer, so DS-Series mags are meant to run with our steel mag catch. It's a one-time swap. New to DS-Series? The Starter Kit includes the catch.
What Is the Shield Arms DS-Series Magazine?
The DS-Series is a steel-body aftermarket magazine line for double-stack 9mm Glock pistols, available now in two capacities: the DS18 (18 rounds, Glock 19) and the DS20 (20 rounds, Glock 17, 34, 45, 47 and 19X). Each holds three more rounds than the factory magazine with only a minimal increase in overall length.

Will the DS-Series fit my Glock?
The DS18 fits the Glock 19. The DS20 fits the Glock 17, 34, 45, 47 and 19X, and also runs in a Glock 19 with the base extending below the grip. Both are compatible with Gen 3, 4, 5 and 6 frames.
What's the difference between the DS18 and DS20?
Capacity and length. The DS18 holds 18 rounds and the DS20 holds 20, each three more than the matching factory magazine. DS18 mags will not fit in a G17 frame, but DS20 mags will fit in a G19 frame.
Do I have to swap out my mag catch?
Yes. We believe the best pathway for long-term reliability is steel on steel or plastic on plastic. The OEM catch is plastic, so we recommend swapping it out with our steel mag catch, or starting with a DS-Series Starter Kit, which pairs one magazine with the catch for your Glock (Gen 3 or Gen 4/5/6).
What is an over-insertion stop?
A stop stamped into the steel magazine body that keeps the mag from seating too deep in the grip, so it locks in at the same depth on every reload. Glock builds one into its factory magazines; most aftermarket magazines don't have one.
How is the DS-Series different from the S-Series and Z-Series?
All three share the same steel-body standard. The S-Series fits the Glock 43X/48, the Z-Series fits the single-stack Glock 43, and the DS-Series is sized for the double-stack Glock 19 and 17.
Does the DS-Series carry the same warranty as other Shield Arms magazines?
Yes. Every Shield Arms magazine, including the DS-Series, is covered by our lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
