S10
S10 System · Glock® 43X / 48
The first magazine built for the grip chop.
Grip chops have been around for years. A magazine designed for one hasn't. The patented S10 puts 10 rounds flush in a shortened Glock® 43X or 48 grip, and the same pistol still runs 12, 15, 17, or 20 when you want more.

What is the Shield Arms S10 system?
The S10 system is a Shield Arms grip chop for the Glock® 43X and 48, paired with the S10: a patented 10-round steel magazine that sits flush in the shortened grip. A converted pistol also accepts every S-Series magazine and extension, so it can be carried at 10, 12, 15, 17, or 20 rounds. You can get it as a mail-in service on your own pistol or as a complete Custom S10 Series Glock® 43X MOS.
Why It's Different
The chop was never the hard part.
Shortening a grip is a machining job, and shops have offered it for years. What didn't exist was a magazine designed for the shorter G43X/48 frame.
So we built one. The S10 is a patented, flush-fitting 10-round steel magazine made for the Shield Arms grip-chopped 43X and 48. It draws on what we learned building the S15, and it is designed together with the grip modification and the S10 magwell as one system.
The result is a shorter grip that still holds 10 rounds, with nothing hanging below the frame.
- Patented design. Built for the chopped frame, not adapted to it.
- Steel body. Black QPQ nitrocarburized finish.
- Serviceable. Easy-to-remove, impact-resistant base pad.
- Covered. 100% lifetime warranty and the Spring for Life guarantee.

The System
One pistol. Five capacities.
Carry it flush at 10. Add an extension, drop in an S15, or carry an S20 as your backup when round count matters more than concealment. Every S-Series magazine and extension fits a converted pistol.
12
S10 +2
An S10 with the +2 extension. Two more rounds and a longer grip surface.
15
S10 +5 or S15
An S10 with the +5 extension, or an S15 with the Grip Chop Sleeve.
20
S20 or S15 +5
The 20-round S20 magazine, or an S15 with the +5 extension and the Grip Chop Sleeve.
Dashed line marks the bottom of the chopped grip. Diagram is illustrative, not to scale.
Running S15 magazines? They need the S15 Magazine Grip Chop Sleeve to fit a chopped frame, or buy the S15 Gen 3 with the sleeve already on it.
Want 20 in one magazine? The Shield Arms S20 is a patented 20-round steel magazine for Glock® 43X/48, the highest-capacity backup mag available for the platform. It is built on the S15's staggered feed geometry in a single steel body, and it runs in a converted pistol.

Before You Commit
Read this before you send it in.
The chop is permanent.
A modified frame cannot be restored to OEM configuration, and the modification may void the factory Glock® warranty. Shield Arms parts, including magazines and magwells, carry our lifetime warranty.
No Glock® OEM magazines.
Glock® OEM magazines should not be used in a Shield Arms grip-chopped pistol. Run S10 magazines, S20 magazines, or S15 magazines with the Grip Chop Sleeve.
S10 products fit chopped pistols only.
The S10 magazine and S10 extensions are compatible only with Shield Arms grip-chopped Glock® 43X and 48 pistols. They do not fit an unmodified frame.
Steel mag catch required.
S-Series magazines need a steel mag catch in place of the plastic OEM catch. One is installed with every grip chop and every complete build.
OEM frames only.
The service is currently compatible with OEM Glock® 43X and 48 frames only. We recommend a factory Glock® slide stop for best S10 function.
Know your magazine laws.
The S10 holds 10 rounds. Extensions, S15 magazines, and the S20 raise capacity, and we cannot ship those to states that restrict magazine capacity unless you are exempt. You are responsible for knowing your state and local laws.
Questions
S10 and grip chop FAQ.
What is a grip chop?
A grip chop is a permanent modification that shortens the grip of a pistol so it conceals more easily. Shield Arms does it with precision CNC machining on the Glock® 43X and 48, then installs an S10 magwell and a steel mag catch.
How many rounds does a grip-chopped 43X hold?
Ten rounds with the flush-fit S10 magazine. With S-Series extensions, S15 magazines, or the S20, the same pistol can be carried at 12, 15, 17, or 20 rounds.
Can I use my S15 magazines in a grip-chopped pistol?
Yes. S15 magazines fit with the S15 Magazine Grip Chop Sleeve. S15 extensions work too.
Does the S20 magazine work in a grip-chopped pistol?
Yes. The S20 is a patented 20-round steel magazine for the Glock® 43X and 48, and it is compatible with Shield Arms grip-chopped pistols. It extends below the grip, so it is a backup magazine, not a flush carry magazine.
Can I use Glock® factory magazines after the chop?
No. Glock® OEM magazines should not be used in a Shield Arms grip-chopped pistol.
Will an S10 magazine work in a stock Glock® 43X or 48?
No. S10 magazines and extensions are compatible only with Shield Arms grip-chopped Glock® 43X and 48 pistols.
Is the grip chop reversible?
No. The modification is permanent, the frame cannot be restored to OEM configuration, and it may void the factory Glock® warranty.
Which pistols can be converted?
The mail-in service covers OEM Glock® 43X and 48 frames. The complete Custom S10 Series pistol is built on a factory Glock® 43X MOS.
What does the warranty cover?
All Shield Arms parts, including S10 magazines and the magwell, carry a 100% lifetime warranty. S10 magazines are also covered by the Spring for Life guarantee: if the spring wears out, we replace it free.
Shorter grip. Ten rounds flush. Up to 20 when you want them.
Send in the 43X or 48 you already own, or order a complete Custom S10 Series pistol built and test-fired by Shield Arms.
